BASEBALL
Columbia Central 6, Homer 0: Conor Rentfrow’s monster performance led the Golden Eagles to a shutout win in game one. Rentfrow threw a perfect game with 16 strikeouts, and batted two hits. Chase Dukate also batted two hits for CC.
Columbia Central 11, Homer 0: Camden Dukate batted 3-3 with 2 RBIs for CC to help take the sweep at home. Conor Rentfrow and Lukas Calhoun each batted two hits, and Chase Dukate earned the win on the hill. CC is now 20-3 overall.
Hanover Horton 18, Vandercook Lake 0: The Comets scored 14 runs in the fifth inning to put the game away and take game one. Cameron Sherwood batted 3-4 with 3 RBIs for HH. Three others added two hits each, and Lukas NaDell earned the pitching win.
Hanover Horton 14, Vandercook Lake 0: Lukas NaDell and Aidan Zeffery each batted two hits for the Comets to take the sweep. The Comets’ two pitchers combined for a no-hitter and allowed just one man on base. HH improves to 10-10 overall.
Grass Lake 11, Manchester 0: Four different Warriors batted two hits each including Collin Knight who drove in three runs, Knight also was the winning pitcher. The two pitchers for GL combined to allow one hit.
Grass Lake 18, Manchester 0: Chase Laughlin batted 3-3 with 2 RBIs for the Warriors as they pitched a shutout in both games. Collin Knight and Brayden Wayne each added two hits. GL is now 17-3-1 and makes their annual trip north to Traverse City on Friday, they will face TC West.
Michigan Center 17, East Jackson 5: Hadyn Hinkle had a monster four hit and four RBI performance for the Cardinals in game one. Landon Sharp was the winning pitcher, throwing five strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
Michigan Center 19, East Jackson 1: Brennan Forward batted 3-4 with 4 RBIs for MC as they took the sweep. Hadyn Hinkle also batted three hits with an RBI. MC improves to 12-11 overall.
Lumen Christi 11, Riverview Gabriel Richard 1: Benny Gaston and Brennan Brogan each batted two hits for the Titans in game one. Wes Learned took the win on the mound, throwing eight strikeouts in the six innings.
Lumen Christi 9, Riverview Gabriel Richard 2: Paul Sattler and Jack Fitzpatrick each batted two hits for LC in game two as they took a catholic league sweep. Nolan Huff earned the pitching win, LC is now 16-7 overall.
Leslie 11, Napoleon 5: Easton Hawkins drove in four runs on two hits for Leslie. Five different players combined for the Pirates’ five hits. Leslie is now 17-5 and Napoleon is now 11-8.

SOFTBALL
Columbia Central 10, Homer 5: Hailey Wetherby batted 4-4 with 4 RBIs to lead the Golden Eagles in game one. Wetherby also threw 15 strikeouts in the circle and pitched a complete game. Camden Knapp and Raell Bice each added two hits.
Columbia Central 11, Homer 0: CC scored seven runs in the fifth inning to put the game away and take the sweep. Bella Knapp and Leelyn Brown each batted two hits for the Eagles. Columbia Central keeps the undefeated season alive and is now 19-0.
Grass Lake 16, Manchester 0: Leilah Smith batted 3-3 with 4 RBIs to lead the Warriors in game one. Four players added two hits each, and Morgan Conrad threw six strikeouts in two innings pitched.
Grass Lake 9, Manchester 0: Makenzie Hilberer and Addalynn Hensen each batted two hits for GL in game two to take the sweep. Morgan Conrad earned another win, throwing nine strikeouts in five innings. GL is now 16-2 overall.
Michigan Center 17, East Jackson 2: Nora Fleming drove in four runs on four hits to lead the Cardinals in game one. Lilly Nutt batted 3-4 with 4 RBIs. Emma Pond threw 10 strikeouts and allowed just two hits.
Michigan Center 18, East Jackson 0: Jaidyn Fulk and Lilly Nutt each batted three hits for MC as they took the sweep over the Trojans. Emma Pond earned another win, throwing seven strikeouts in three innings. MC is now 10-5-1 overall.

Bronson, Union City at Springport: The Spartans fell to both schools in the boys events and split 1-1 on the girls side. Full results here
Concord at Vermontville Maple Valley: The Yellowjackets set 17 new personal bests and several season best achievements in the Big 8 dual. Concord girls moved to 5-0 in the Big 8 as they defeated the host team 98 to 28. The boys team also won 83-52. Full results here
