BASEBALL
Concord 4, Camden-Frontier 0: Lane Blossom, Nate Fritz, and Charlie Cole each batted two hits for Concord in game one. Gavin Riske was on the hill, throwing eight strikeouts and allowing three hits.
Concord 9, Camden-Frontier 0: Nate Fritz’s powerful pitching performance led the Yellowjackets in game two as they took a sweep. Fritz struck out 13 batters and allowed just two hits in six innings. Charlie Cole batted 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Concord improves to 7-12 overall.
Traverse City West 11, Grass Lake 4
Grass Lake 10, Traverse City West 5: Cam Prater batted 3-5 with an RBI to help lead the Warriors in game two up north. Luke Guthrie also batted three hits and Noah Orban batted two hits with two RBIs. Grass Lake splits the doubleheader and is now 18-4-1 overall, they will play TC Central on Saturday morning.
Northwest 12, Adrian Madison 2: Three different players batted two hits for the Mounties in game one. NW splits the non-league doubleheader and is now 11-7-1 overall.

Napoleon 13, Jackson 4: Three different Pirates batted two hits each in the game one victory. Tristen Russell was the winning pitcher, allowing no hits with eight strikeouts in five innings.
Napoleon 8, Jackson 5: Issac Caroffino drove in three runs on two hits to lead the Pirates to victory and a sweep at Jackson High School. Tyler Nall and Logan Hankis also batted two hits each. Napoleon improves to 13-9 overall.
Jonesville 4, Hanover Horton 2
SOFTBALL
Hanover Horton 14, Michigan Center 4: Ava Smith drove in three runs on three hits to lead the Comets. Collins deGlee also batted three hits. Amanda Ley was the winning pitcher. HH improves to 13-7 overall.
Columbia Central 11, Chelsea 7: Hailey Wetherby’s clutch hitting led the Golden Eagles to a game one victory, batting 3-5 with 5 RBIs plus earning the pitching win. Gabby Gaydosh and Leelyn Brown also batted three hits each.
Columbia Central 7, Chelsea 7: Game two would end in a tie after playing five innings. Gabby Gaydosh batted two hits with two RBIs for CC. Camden Knapp drove in three runs with a hit. Columbia Central still has no losses yet this season, they are now 20-0-1 overall.

Michigan Center 5, Hanover Horton 1: Mayrese Vieau scored three goals and an assist to lead the Cardinals. McKynley Gaddy and Carly Horstman scored the other two goals, with Horstman assisting on Gaddy’s goal.
Grass Lake 2, Napoleon 1: The game was tied with no score at halftime. Adelynn Kidd and Adeline Stormont scored the two goals for the Warriors. Marisa Stark scored the Napoleon goal.
Parma Western 3, Northwest 1: Lola Berdiner continued her exceptional season for the Panthers, scoring all three goals with two of them in the second half. Western took home a rivalry win after a very physical contest. Photos from the game and a game recap available online at JTV.TV.

TRACK & FIELD
‘The Dome Classic’ at East Jackson: Jonesville dominated in the boys events, winning by 51 points as a team. Manchester, Grass Lake, and Leslie finished tightly for 2nd-4th place. Grass Lake’s girls team was barely edged out and placed 2nd behind Whitmore Lake, and Napoleon took third. Full results here
Catholic HS League Championship: Lumen Christi placed 3rd in both the boys and girls in the CHSL championships in Macomb. Johnny Walters won the 400meter race with a time of 50.02. Tay Williams took home the 300m hurdles and Gurmilan Singh won the boys high jump. Samantha Schroeder won both the 1600 and 3200 meter races for the LC girls. Ella Hawley won the high jump with a personal best of 5’0. Full results here
Chuck King Invitational at Concord: The host Yellowjackets took home 2nd place in the boys events and placed 4th on the girls side. Springport boys placed 9th and the girls took 7th place. Full results here
