BOYS SOCCER DISTRICT FINAL

D3 at Hillsdale: Columbia Central 5, Grass Lake 0: Carter Simpson scored 3 goals and Eli Hawley added 2 for the Golden Eagles. Grass Lake ends its season at 12-8-5 overall. CC advances to the D3 Regional Semifinal on Tuesday (10/21) vs Frankenmuth, the game will be hosted at Williamston High School.

Schoolcraft College 3, Jackson College 0

Western 3, Northwest 0: The Panthers were able to finish the match with the sweep on senior night, with scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-16. Becca Brushaber tallied 18 assists, 3 aces and 4 digs for Western. Ella Wilcox added 12 kills and 3 digs.

CROSS COUNTRY

Cascades Conference Championship (Ella Sharp Park): Hanover Horton just gets past Jonesville by 4 points in the boys race to win the conference title. HH has now won the conference or at least a share in 10 of the last 12 years. Caleb Blonde of Jonesville finished first individually, running a time of 15:56.93. Chad Tyson of Hanover Horton placed 2nd and Clint Couchman of Columbia Central finished 3rd.

GIRLS: Grass Lake continues to be a force in cross country, winning the 2025 girls conference championship. Adalyn Jarchow ran a time of 20:41.33 for the Warriors and placed 5th individually. Hailey Creisher of Leslie finished first by just under two minutes, running a time of 18:06.79. Avery Haynes of Columbia Central placed 2nd, Maisey Toteff and Brynlee Swihart placed 3rd and 4th for Hanover Horton.
