BOYS SOCCER DISTRICTS

D2 – Dexter 4, Northwest 0

D3 – Michigan Center 1, Hillsdale 0: Sophomore Brady Howard scored the only goal in the first five minutes of the game, that would end up giving the Cardinals a win as they survive to the next round of the district tournament. MC will face Grass Lake (at Hillsdale) on Monday (10/13) in the district semifinals.

D4 – Lumen Christi 5, Dansville 1: The Titans rolled at home on Thursday in the opening round. LC advances to the district semifinal on Monday (10/13) vs state-ranked Hillsdale Academy at Stockbridge HS.

BOYS TENNIS REGIONALS

D2 at Dexter: Jackson finished in 6th place for the regional meet.

D4 at Grosse Ile: Lumen Christi had an exceptional day on the courts, winning a D4 regional title and moving onto the state finals. #2, 3 and 4 doubles plus #2 and 3 singles all won individual titles for the Titans. The MHSAA boys tennis state finals (Division 4) take place October 20-21 at Midland Tennis Center.

VOLLEYBALL

Western 3, Bronson 2: The Panthers rallied back after losing the first two sets, taking set five 15-11. Western is now 24-6-1 on the year and ranked just outside the top 10 in D2.

Union City Tri-Meet: The Hanover Horton comets continue to dominate, they improved to 23-1-1 on the year on Thursday night. HH defeated both host Union City and St. John’s.
