Western 3, Coldwater 2: The Panthers had to win the last two sets to take home the I-8 victory on Wednesday. Ella Wilcox led WHS with 15 kills and 13 digs. Western is now 13-1-1 on the year and is ranked just outside the top 10 in D2.

Michigan Center 1, Grass Lake 0: The Cardinals handed the ranked Warriors a big Cascades defeat on Wednesday. Davin DeLise nutmegs the goalkeeper in the 69th minute to score the goal for MC, and goalkeeper Henry Wright had eight saves.
Columbia Central 8, Jonesville 0: CC has now won 9 of their last 11 games played and continued to dominate for a Cascades victory on Wednesday. David Munro led the Golden Eagles with three goals, and Eli Hawley added two.

WOMENS SOCCER
Jackson College 4, Owens CC 1: The Jets have now won three in a row after starting 1-3 on the season. JC travels to St. Clair CCC on Saturday for their next match.
Spring Arbor Univ. 2, Cornerstone 2: SAU now has been unbeaten the last three games and have allowed just six goals this season. The 13th-ranked Cougars host Lindsey Wilson next on Saturday.

GIRLS GOLF
Addison Jamboree (at Lake LeAnn GC): Napoleon continued its exceptional play this season at Lake LeAnn. Anna McCubbins shot an even score of 38 to lead the Pirates and win individually. Kelsey Fausz of Columbia Central finished second just one shot behind McCubbins for a 39. Haley Stimer finished in third with a 42 for Concord, and Avery Rhodes of NHS finished fourth with a 46.
I-8 Jamboree at Hastings (The Legacy): Western finished in 2nd place in the conference jamboree at The Legacy. Karly Foster had a personal best of 47 to lead the Panthers. Northwest finished just two shots behind them for 3rd place.
