Concord 58, Reading 42: Connor Steven scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets. Darrell Dean scored nine points and Jordan Medellin eight for Concord (12-8 overall, 8-4 Big Eight).
Hillsdale Academy 43, Jackson Christian 33: J.D. Locke scored 15 points and Aaden Breton finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Jackson Christian.
Jackson 42, Tecumseh 31: Jackson High School picked up a pair of wins Friday night concluding a game from earlier in the season – when the lights went out at Tecumseh – and a home win against the Indians.
Hastings 50, Northwest 40: Northwest High School fell on the road in Interstate Eight Conference action. The two teams conclude its home-and-home series Monday at NWHS.
Springport 52, Maple Valley 47: The Spartans erased a 15-point deficit at halftime for the win. Brody Baum scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Dallas Higelmire added nine points and nine rebounds.
Marshall 58, Western 53: Justin Jones finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, D.J. VanRiper added 16 points, and Maverick Hammond scored 10 points for the Panthers.
Jackson 49, Tecumseh 37: The Vikings concluded a game from earlier in the season.
Girls Basketball
Hanover-Horton 52, Columbia Central 39: The Comets earned a big win at home Friday against Columbia Central. Morgan Kuhl finished with 20 points and eight rebounds and Molly Soper added 14 points for Hanover-Horton. Gabby Gaydosh scored 14 points for CCHS.
Grass Lake 69, Leslie 27: Reese Lape finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Kate Starkey added 22 points and four assists for Grass Lake (15-3).
Tecumseh 84, Jackson 21: The Vikings fell on the road in Southeast Conference action. Tecumseh is one of the top ranked teams in the state.
Napoleon 43, Manchester 18: Emma Darnell finished with 15 points and Gracie Tallman added 11 points for Napoleon.
Northwest 42, Hastings 34: Northwest won its fifth game of the season with a victory at Hastings Friday night.
Western 50, Marshall 33: Rayah Hitt finished with half of the Panthers’ points with 25 against Marshall. Western remains undefeated in Interstate Eight Conference play with the victory.
Competitive Cheer District
Division 4 at Jonesville: Hanover-Horton won the district with a season-high 768. Addison finished sixth scoring 616 missing the regional tournament by two places. The Comets advance to the regional tournament next Saturday at Michigan Center beginning at 10 a.m.

Grosse Ile 7, Lumen Christi 2: The Titans lost on senior night to Grosse Ile.

Jackson State 14, Jackson College 3: Brady Schrems finished with a pair of hits and an RBI for the Jets.
Parkland 6, Jackson College 4: The Jets lost in action at Millington, Tenn.

Boys Basketball
Hanover-Horton 66, Michigan Center 44: The Comets won the third-place game in the Cascades Conference Tournament at Spring Arbor University. Luke Soper scored 28 points with 10 rebounds and five steals. John Wallbaum and Braylon Sayles each scored 10 points for Hanover-Horton.
Grass Lake 31, Columbia Central 30: The Warriors win its first Cascades Conference title since 1971 with a low-scoring affair at Spring Arbor University. The game pitted winners of each division in the Cascades Conference against one another. Brayden Lape scored 16 points and Bryant Cook finished with eight points and eight rebounds for Grass Lake.
Competitive Cheer Districts
Division 2 at Adrian: Northwest High School finished 11th (602) and Western 13th (581) at the Division 2 district at Adrian High School.
Division 3 at Grosse Ile: Michigan Center finished third overall to qualify for the regional tournament next Saturday. Columbia Central finished ninth at 637. The Cardinals advance to the Hartland regional next Saturday at 5 p.m.
Division 4 at Vandercook Lake: The Jayhawks used a little home cooking to qualify for the competitive cheer regionals. Vandercook Lake finished fourth – the final regional qualifying spot – with a score of 640 at home Saturday. Grass Lake was sixth (614), Napoleon was fourth (608), Springport placed ninth (593), and East Jackson 12th (508). VCL advances to the 12-team regional next Saturday at Michigan Center beginning at 10 a.m. The top four teams advance to the Division 4 state finals Friday, Feb. 28, at Central Michigan University.

Wrestling Individual Regionals
Division 2 at Richland Gull Lake: Jackson County qualifiers are: Titan Parker of Western who was fourth at 165 pounds; and Shea Haehnle of Jackson was fourth at 175 pounds.
Division 3 at Olivet: Jackson County state qualifiers are: Carson Warner of Napoleon at 165 pounds; Andrew Beadenkopf of Michigan Center was second Zack Bamm of Napoleon third, and Shane Taylor of Columbia Central fourth at 175 pounds; Brady Warner of Napoleon won the regional title and Davion King was second at 190 pounds; Dallas Smith of Napoleon placed fourth at 215 pounds; Dylan Boone of Columbia Central finished second at 285 pounds; Izayah Scott of Napoleon placed third at 113 pounds; Brandon Rohde of Grass Lake was third at 120 pounds; Logan Hartman of Napoleon finished fourth at 126; James Cromwell of CCHS was third at 132 pounds; and Aiden Durham of Grass Lake won the regional title at 138 pounds.
Division 4 at Leslie: Jackson County state qualifiers are: James Hart of Lumen Christi who was third at 165 pounds; Austyn Hocter of Hanover-Horton was second at 190 pounds; and A.J. Fielder of Hanover-Horton was fourth at 132 pounds.
Division 4 at Martin: Jackson County state qualifiers include Mason Thurber of Springport who won the title at 106 pounds; Shamus O’Hearon of Springport was third at 113 pounds; and Kaden Sizemore of Springport was third at 150 pounds.
Boys Bowling
Cascades Conference at JAX 60: Jonesville defeated Michigan Center 18-12 in the final. Napoleon lost to Jonesville in the semifinal and Michigan Center defeated Vandercook Lake in the other semifinal.
Girls Bowling
Cascades Conference at JAX 60: Grass Lake High School claimed the title in girls bowling at JAX 60 Saturday. The Warriors defeated Homer in a roll off and Jonesville by two pins in the final.

Kenowa Hills 4, Jackson United 1: Nick Baumgardner scored the only goal for JU. Dylan Foster finished with 17 saves in net for Jackson.

Henry Ford 86, Jackson College 76: Savonn Campbell scored 21 points, Cooper Johnston added 15 points, and Joshua Christian finished with 10 points for Jackson College (3-22 overall, 1-10 MCCAA). The Jets host Mott Community College Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Spring Arbor 62, Huntington 58: Gabe Newhof scored 22 points, Kevin Robertson added 14 points, and Dante Favor tallied 10 points for SAU (17-9 overall, 9-7 CL).
Women’s Basketball
Jackson College 104, Henry Ford 69: Four players scored in double digits as Jackson College went over the century mark for points this season. Michelle McGee scored 31 points, Kaylona Butler scored 29 points, Emily Carbajal tallied 14 points, and Harmonie Bolton added 11 points for Jackson College (19-5 overall, 9-1 MCCAA). Jackson hosts Mott Community College Wednesday for a 5:30 start
Huntington 91, Spring Arbor 70: Alana Nelson scored 33 points and Megan Zeitz added 10 points for SAU (17-9 overall, 10-6 CL).
Women’s Bowling
Jackson College at NJCAA Region 12 Championship: The Jets won the women’s competition four a fourth consecutive season at Royal Scot in Lansing. Chloe Manifold averaged 213 per game. JC took five of the top six spots with Manifold, Mikayla DeBoe, Sydney Nichols, Olivia Palmer, and Abby Gutowski – all five earning all-region honors. Nichols and Manifold won the title in doubles and Kaelin Pond-Gutowski finished third. Palmer finished first overall in singles, Manifold was second, and DeBoe was fourth for Jackson College.
Men’s Bowling
Jackson College at NJCAA Region 12 Championship: Jackson College finished third overall. Tobyn LePeak finished second overall averaging 212 per game. Charlie Porter was fourth and Logan Schneider fifth overall for the day. All three earned all-region honors in the tournament Friday. JC will compete in the MCCAA Baker Challenge next Friday beginning at 9 a.m.
Competitive Cheer
Cougar Classic at SAU: The Cougars finished first with a team score of 72.25 at home Saturday.
