(March 12, 2026 8:00 AM ET)  Following a successful launch of the county-wide Drive Jackson 20-Year Strategic Vision Plan, community engagement continues as implementation efforts move forward.

Over the last year, more than 1,300 residents contributed nearly 6,000 pieces of feedback to shape the plan’s vision for the next two decades. That spirit of collaboration remains central to the work ahead and residents and organizations are encouraged to stay involved.

Community Presentations Available

Drive Jackson is offering presentations to established groups and organizations throughout Jackson County. Groups that meet regularly are invited to host a presentation during an upcoming meeting. Organizations may also schedule a dedicated presentation outside of their regular meeting cadence.

These sessions provide a concise overview of the finalized plan, highlight early implementation priorities and create space for dialogue about how individuals and organizations can see themselves reflected in the work ahead.

“Drive Jackson represents the collective aspirations of our community, and these presentations are an opportunity to ensure everyone sees their voice and priorities reflected in the work ahead,” said President and CEO of the Jackson Community Foundation, Monica Moser. “We welcome every organization to join us in shaping a stronger, more connected Jackson County.”

Organizations interested in hosting a presentation may sign up here.

Coffee Hours Continue Across the County

The first round of Drive Jackson Community Coffee Hours, held in Brooklyn, the City of Jackson and Spring Arbor, offered meaningful engagement and dialogue around the future of our region. Residents asked thoughtful questions, shared ideas and expressed interest in ongoing involvement as implementation begins.

“Community is the cornerstone of Drive Jackson,” said Community Growth Fellow Alexie Milukhin. “These Coffee Hours are an opportunity to continue to connect and ask questions and talk about the issues that matter most, the opportunities that excite us and how we move our County forward.”

Building on that momentum, additional Community Coffee Hours will be held at:

  • Friday, March 13, 2026
11:30–1:00 PM, Trail Head Coffee Shop, 118 N. Main St., Concord, MI 49237
  • Wednesday, March 18, 2026
3:30-5:00 PM, Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library, 3125 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202
  • Thursday, March 19, 2026
5:30–7:00 PM, Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library, 244 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201

These informal, open-house style gatherings provide an opportunity to receive a brief overview of the finalized plan, learn about next steps and early priorities, ask questions and connect with others who care about the future of Jackson County. Whether residents participated in the original planning process or are just learning about Drive Jackson, all are welcome to attend.
