Jackson YMCA Winter Break Camp.  Final Day!  Kids ages 5-14 can have a great time at our Winter Break Camp, featuring indoor and outdoor activities.   Daily rate: $39 members/$49 community.  Week:  $149/$199.  Sign up in person or at www.jacksonymca.org

Nite Lites Christmas Light Show. FINAL DAY!! Join us for Nite Lites at Michigan International Speedway! Nite Lites is a drive-thru light display spanning 5-miles across MIS property.  Now through December 31.  Michigan International Speedway, US-12 Entrances only, 12626 US Highway 12, Brooklyn, MI 49230 (Westbound use Lot 8 Entrance, Eastbound use Graves Family Entrance).  5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday – Thursday | 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday.  Cost: $25 per car (Sunday-Thursday), $30 per car (Friday & Saturday), $45 per minibus, limo, or motorhome, $100 per tour bus.  Cash and credit cards accepted. Bus with Us Shuttle.  Experience Jackson has partnered with Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) to provide a FREE shuttle service between downtown Jackson and select Jackson County Hotels this New Year’s Eve. Bus with Us will provide a safe alternative to driving on one of the biggest celebration nights of the year.  By booking a hotel, all you’ll need to do is enjoy the countdown.   Buses will run between 6 p.m. December 31, 2021, and 2 a.m. January 1, 2022, between Downtown Jackson (at Experience Jackson, 134 W. Michigan) and the hotels.  Book your hotel to ring in the new year.

VERITAS New Year’s Eve in the Ballroom. 9 PM. New Year’s Eve at VERITAS is back! We already missed ringing in the new year with you once so we’re celebrating twice as much this time around.  Cut a rug on the dance floor with The 1s & 2s (always the life of the party), enjoy craft cocktails, beer, and wine from our bar, snack on hors d’oeuvres all night, commemorate the evening with a keepsake from the photo booth, dress to impress to take home the prize for our “Best Dressed” contest and more.  Tickets are available here.

New Year’s Eve at Kids ’N’ Stuff.  10 AM to 2 PM.  Ring in the New Year with the whole family at Kids ‘N’ Stuff! We’ll be open 10 am to 2 pm on New Year’s Eve with special activities, a sparkling punch toast, and of course, the countdown to noon! We recommend arriving at least a half-hour before noon so you can make your party popper for the countdown. Activities are included in the regular price of admission and free for members!  301 S. New Year’s Eve Bark and Bash.  The Jackson County Animal Shelter presents New Year’s Eve Bark and Bash. The event will be all about supporting our county’s homeless pets while having a fun evening of music & dancing with Jackson’s own ACT III Band, Hors d’oeuvres, Raffles, Silent Auction, and NYC Times Square ball drop and the football game on the big screens.  The event takes place in the newly renovated 2nd floor of the County Tower Building at 120 W. Michigan Ave.  The evening starts at 8:00 pm.   Advance Ticket pricing is $25 or $45 for a couple, tickets will be limited so don’t wait. Tickets at the door (if available) will be $35 & $55. Live DJ at Ogma Brewing Co.  Ogma Brewing Co. will host a live DJ from 8-12 + “good riddance” message board notes to 2021! Their New Year’s Eve hours are Noon on December 31, 2021 – 12:30 am on January 1, 2022.  Ogma Brewing Co., 129 East Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

The Dirty Laundry Band at The 308 Brass Rail.  8 PM.  Join us for a great time as we say goodbye to 2021, welcome in 2022, and cheer the Michigan Wolverines on to victory against the Georgia Puppy Dogs. There will be plenty of great music (well, we think so anyway), great food, and as always, a great time will be had by all at the 308 Brass Rail, 308 West Prospect Street, Jackson.

New Year’s Eve at One North.   One North Kitchen & Bar invites you to a private event this New Year’s Eve from 10 pm-12:30 am.  Featuring live music with @Tony Thompson, a light appetizer buffet, selfie station and a champagne toast at midnight, come join us at One North to ring in 2022.  Tickets are $15 each and are available at the restaurant or get them here.  One North Kitchen and Bar, 2115 Bondsteel, Jackson.

Michigan Center Eagles New Year’s Eve Party.  NYE Party at Michigan Center Eagles 3634, tickets cost $30.00 each. 302 5th St, Michigan Center.  Includes Open Bar, Dinner: 1/4 Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Veggie and Roll and yes Flyte for the Entertainment. Tickets on sale at the club.

First Dozen Ride.  1 PM.  Cascades Cycling Club.  Meet at the Cascades Park parking lot off Denton Rd. near the Kibby Road roundabout.  Kick off the New Year right with a bike ride! Get your first dozen miles in for 2022 at the 1st Dozen Ride.

Sergical Strike at The 308 Brass Rail. 8 PM – 11 PM.   Keep the New Year’s celebration going with Sergical Strike on New Years Day. Football and live music along with EXCELLENT food and cocktails!!  308 Brass Rail, 308 W. Prospect Street, Jackson.

New Year’s Day Mass and Healing Service.  10 AM.  Presented by Pious Union/Shrine of St. Joseph, 953 E Michigan Ave, Grass Lake.  Please join us at the Pious Union for New Year’s Day Mass for the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God at 10:00 am with a healing service to follow directly after.

Saturday Skating and Laser Tag.  Patrons under the age of 16 without their own skates must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during their visit.  6:00-9:00pm.  Adm $12.  $4 for any type of skate rental / Skate Mates $5 + Deposit.  Laser Tag Hours 6-9 pm.  1 Play: $7 Double Play: $10.  Allskate Fun Center, 1313 W. The Art and Voice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Final Day! This event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s powerful voice while highlighting the role that art can play in social transformation. Patrons are invited to create a piece of art in any medium inspired by one of the prompts from Dr. King’s sermons and speeches, and send a photo of their creation to community@myjdl.com. Submissions dates are December 15 to January 1. The piece selected as the winner will be on display and all entries will be featured on JDL’s Facebook page.
