Jackson County Veterans Day Event. 11 AM.  In celebration of our nation’s veterans and Veterans Day, Jackson County veterans organizations present this annual tribute to veterans.  Speakers, awards and presentations.  All are welcome.  Withington Park (W. Michigan and First)  at the circle of monuments. Program begins at 11 AM.

Jackson County Restaurant Week.  Experience Jackson presents the return of Jackson County Restaurant Week November 11-17.   Twenty-six different local food establishments are participating. Participating restaurants will provide a selection of $15 burger and side menu options throughout the 7-day period, with a variety of locations to experience breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, with one bakery offering a hamburger-themed dessert selection. Patrons simply visit a participating restaurant, request the Jackson County Restaurant Week menu, place an order, and request a punch card. Everyone will get a single stamp for their purchase. Taking a punch card to each dining experience and getting multiple stamps through the week qualifies guests for restaurant gift card drawings following the event. Guests are also encouraged to use the hashtag #TasteOfJackson during the event to highlight images of their experiences. Participating restaurants include Baby Bear Burger, The Bar, Bella Notte Ristorante, Bone Island Grille, Booher’s Fresh Market & Diner, The Crazy Cowboy, Doll N’ Burgers, Eagle’s Nest Bar & Grill, Fawzi’s Sports Bar & Grill, The Five Forks, Flavorz, GG’s Parma Café, Grand River Brewery, The Horton Hop, Lucero’s Mexican Bar & Grill, Mama’s Mercantile & Eatery, Nite Lite, Ogma Brewing Co., RJ’s Metropolitan Ice Cream Co., Roadhouse Grill and Bar, Rocky Top Beer BBQ & Grill, Rookies Burger Bar, Schlenkers, Steve’s Ranch Family Restaurant, Veritas, and West Point Lounge. Michigan Theatre Jackson College Film Series:  “Children of Men”.  Once again, we are proud to welcome back Jackson College’s “Intro to Film” class.   The doors to the auditorium will open at 7 pm. The box office will be open at 6:30 pm. The cost is $5 per film. Present your Michigan Theatre Membership Card and receive a free medium popcorn and free medium soft drink. ABOUT THE FILM: When infertility threatens mankind with extinction and the last child born has perished, a disillusioned bureaucrat (Clive Owen) becomes the unlikely champion in the fight for the survival of Earth’s population; He must face down his own demons and protect the planet’s last remaining hope from danger.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Free Veterans Day Concert at Tecumseh Center for the Arts. 7 PM.  Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) invites you to celebrate our Nation’s heroes at Monday, November 11th’s FREE Veterans Day concert featuring the DODWORTH SAXHORN BAND. Coined America’s Premier 19th-Century Brass Band, Dodworth is most famous for their musical contributions to Ken Burns’ documentary The Civil War.  With such gifted musicians taking the stage. this is sure to be a rousing and inspirational tribute to all who have so valiantly served in our country’s military.  This is a free, non-ticketed event with general admission seating.   400 N Maumee Street, Downtown Tecumseh.  Doors open at 6pm for the 7pm concert.
