Fall  into Film: The Great Dictator (1940).  Doors at 7:00PM • Film at 7:15PM.  Admission: $5.  Free medium combo for members.  In this bold and historic sound debut from Charlie Chaplin, he plays dual roles: a kind-hearted Jewish barber suffering from amnesia and the ruthless dictator Adenoid Hynkel of fictional Tomainia. After a heroic act in World War I, the barber wakes up decades later to find his village under Hynkel’s fascist control. Mistaken identities, political satire, and absurd encounters with rival dictator Benzino Napaloni spiral into a dramatic final twist. When the barber is confused for Hynkel, he delivers a powerful speech urging democracy, compassion, and human unity. The Great Dictator fearlessly mocks tyranny while arguing for hope and solidarity.  Part of our Fall into Film series, proudly sponsored by Jackson College. Doors open at 7:00?PM; the film begins at 7:15?PM. $5 admission; members enjoy a free medium combo.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
