Friday, November 7

Sensory Friendly Chamber Concert. 10 AM.  FREE ADMISSION with RSVP RSVP HERE: https://jacksonsymphony.my.salesforce-sites.com/ticket/… This sensory-friendly concert experience has been designed for those with sensory sensitivities, including neurodiverse audiences and those with communication, movement, and learning needs. Upon entering the JSO, attendees will have the chance to feel and touch real instruments in our lobby prior to the concert. This concert features the softer wind instruments from our orchestra performing as a small ensemble/chamber group. Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Flute, and Oboe will share their unique sounds with the audience in a lower-lighting setting.  Accommodations and event page here.

“It’s a Wonderful Life”.  Grass Lake High School Theater Society presents this Christmas classic on stage at Grass Lake High School.  Tickets $10.  Friday and Saturday at 7 PM, Sunday at 3 PM.

“A Festival of the Arts”.  Columbia Central Jr./Sr. High School presents a variety of performances and art.  Columbia Performing Arts Center.  Jr./Sr. High School Art Show, Jazz Band Performances, Jr. High Musical:  Gideon and the Blundersnorp, and the High School Play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  6:30 PM Friday and Saturday, 2 PM on Sunday.

Band Showcase at Ironbark.  7:30 PM to 10:30 PM.  Catch three unique bands this Friday at Ironbark! Loser Candy, Sleeper Pool, and Ahh Yes! are bringing a variety of punk, rock and ska to the Ironbark stage!  2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Women Made:  Stories of Impact Exhibit. Throughout Jackson’s history, women have shaped our city’s economic, social, and cultural landscape. Woman Made highlights the stories of those whose contributions—both past and present— and how they have strengthened our community. From leaders in business and philanthropy to advocates for social change, these women embody resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to those around them.  Ella Sharp Museum.

GIG:  The Art of Michigan Music. Michigan’s Only Visual Art & Music Experience dedicated to the Artists Behind the Sound.  2nd annual event!  From 12 Noon to 10:30pm, attendees will immerse themselves in the visual side of Michigan’s music scene through:  Exhibits, workshops, Local food, and LIVE performances.  Celebrates photographers, graphic designers, poster artists and videographers who shape how we see and remember music.  More than 25 featured artists and 3 LIVE bands.  Art 634, 634 N. Battle of the Badges Hockey Tournament.  Presented by Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan.  Join us for an exciting night of hockey action, fun, and community spirit as we raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics Michigan.  5:30 PM:  MSP C vs Capital City Hosers.  7 PM:  Capital City Lawmen vs MDOC Black Knights.  Free to attend, donations encouraged.  Optimist Ice Arena, 1300 West North Street.
