Hanover Firecracker Run Walk. 104 Main St, Hanover.  Join us on July 4th for the next ORS Running Series event, the  Hanover Firecracker 5 mile and 5k! The start for both races will 8 am. USATF Certified 5 Mile run starting and finishing on main street in downtown Hanover.  5K walk is an out and back course. FREE kids run: Starts at 9:15 am, approximately 3/4 K, Awards to all kids ages 12 and younger. Registration and event page here.

Hanover-Horton 4th of July Celebration.  A complete day of fun, beginning with the Hanover Firecracker Run Walk and the American Legion Post 270 Pancake Breakfast (7 AM -11 AM).  Refreshments and food throughout the day, including ice cream in the park, Italian Ice, Soft Pretzels, Walking Tacos, Loaded Nachos and BBQ Pork!  Bechler Family Concessions returns with French fries, Cotton Candy, Elephant Ears, and more!  Hanover-Horton Area Lions Club Chicken Barbecue right after the parade. Hanover-Horton Area Historical Society Bake sale in the park.  A car show and the 4th of July Parade follows at 11 AM car show leading up to the Fourth of July parade starting at 11 AM at Heritage Park, 105 Fairview St..  Sports, games, vendors, displays and more throughout the day.  Fireworks at dusk concludes the day.  Complete details, schedules and more on the event page here.

Brooklyn Fourth of July Parade.  10 AM.  Downtown entertainment begins at 9:30 AM.  The parade line up begins at 9:30 AM on Irwin St. and travels throughout downtown.

Grass Lake Fourth of July Parade.  10 AM The parade begins at Grass Lake High School, 11500 Warrior Trail.  The parade follows a route from East Avenue in the village, west along Michigan Avenue to Lake Street in downtown Grass Lake, and flows north from there to Grass Lake County Park on the shores of Grass Lake.  The Grass Lake Sportsman Club hosts the annual chicken barbecue at the park following the parade. Each dinner costs $12.

Grass Lake Cardboard Boat Races.  The Village of Grass Lake will be having the annual Cardboard Boat Races on July 4th, 2024. This event will be held at the Jackson County Park in Grass Lake, the start time will be around 2:15 PM.  Come cheer on your favorite team!

Fourth of July Celebration at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  We’re open on the Fourth of July with live music from a new band to the winery, Root Station, from 1-4pm! It’s the perfect holiday to hear some classic rock n’ roll! Grill specials available from 12-5pm, we’ll be closing early for this Thursday at 5pm so staff can enjoy some time off!  4724 Walz Road, Jackson.

Friday, July 5

Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  You’re invited to join us riverside for a healthy dose of good food, good music, and good community! We’ve got dozens of weekly rotating vendors offering Seasonal fruits & veggies, meats, cheeses, coffee, honey, pasta, artisan breads, baked goods, dairy, plants, flowers, bath and body, hand-crafted artisan wares, and more!  Entertainment and food truck.  We’ve also got prepared food and frozen make-n-take dinners.  We’ll be open rain or shine – hope to see you there!  Glick and Mechanic, Downtown Jackson.

Cookout in the Beer Garden.  Continue the party in the USA with us for beers, brats, and bands in the Ogma Beer Garden on Friday, July 5! Starting at 3 pm, Nic will be firing up the grill for brats and dogs while we set up corn hole, ring toss and open the Ogma beer tent in the garden. Fresh pours right there without needing to go back inside—hell yeah! Speaking of inside the brewery, we’ll also have a killer burger special and our full menu available to smash until 10 pm. The Van Buren Boys will perform two sets, starting at 6:30 pm and another at 8 pm, featuring all your favorite covers and a few original songs. Dang, you might even hear “Free Bird.” This is going to be a blast, and we’re so looking forward to some summertime fun in the beer garden with you. Vineyard Jams at Cherry Creek Cellars.   Vineyard Jams. Every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-10 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best bands in the area.
