Community Music School 30th Anniversary.  6 PM to 8 PM. Join the JSO Community Music School downtown at Weatherwax Hall to celebrate our 30th birthday of music education!  We’ll have food, games, prizes, and indoor bouncy house, and musical performances. This event is free and fun for the whole family! Current students, alumni, and anyone interested in checking us out are all welcome.  215 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Summer Kids Movie Series at the Michigan Theatre.  Final show! This week’s movie is”Raya and The Last Dragon”.    Screening time is 11 AM. Kids combo, small drink and popcorn, $4.  Admission is $1. Doors open at 10:30 AM.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson. NOTE:  There will only be an 11 AM show today (no 2 PM show).

Jackson Young Professionals Large Group Meetup.  6 PM.Sunshine Acres 11025 S. Jackson Rd,  Cement City. Cover me in sunshine shower me with good times….that’s exactly what our friends at Sunshine Acres, a sunflower farm and event location, want to do!  If dreamy sunsets, fields of sunflowers and totally instagrammable photo-ops are your thing then join us this month for an EXCLUSIVE dedicated hour just for the Jackson Young Professionals. Although not mandatory to attend our meetup, in order to get the full experience using the photo spots and to take home your very own sunflower, there will be a $12 per-person charge.
