Black History Month Movie Matinees at the Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library. Swing by the Eastern Branch as we celebrate Black History Month as part of our Thursday Movie Matinees! Join us for some great films all month long. February 28: “Selma” (2014, PG-13) starring David Oyelowo, Carmen Ejogo, and Tim Roth. A chronicle of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965. Widescreen, comfortable seats and popcorn, too! Thursday afternoons starting at 2 p.m. Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.

Center Stage Jackson Fundraiser at Culver’s. On February 28th, from 4pm to 8pm, a portion of any orders placed inside or in the drive thru of Culver’s will will automatically be donated to Center Stage Jackson, Your Community Theatre! These fundraisers will continue once per month as we continue towards our goal of funding the professional fly system that will allow actors to safely “fly” in Peter Pan, our June 2019 musical.
