Cinco de Mayo Patio Kickoff Party.  Join us for Cinco de Mayo!   Come on out to enjoy delicious food, great beer and good times with friends on the patio! Our specials will include:  Casa De Padre Beer, In House Made Margaritas, Chorizo queso dip with chips, Guacamole with chips, Chalupas, Mole Pablano power burrito.  All day!  Grand River Brewery, Downtown Jackson.

Cinco de Mayo at Manchester Market. You know what’s coming…CINCO DE MAYO.  Opening day of our outdoor market.  Not only will the Grand River Brewery food truck be here during the Outdoor Market, but we will have specials running through the weekend.  AND we are having a Taco Battle with our friends at River Raisin Distillery and Sanich Union!  We will be here from 3 pm-6 pm!  455 West Main Street, Manchester.

Moms and Margs Downtown Sip ’n Shop. 4 PM – 7 PM. Downtown Jackson Retailers will host an event just for mother. Take a night off of all your duties and grab your gal pals and come down to our Sip and Shop…. We will have you sample our version of margaritas. Lots of giveaways, prizes and an all-out fun night. Lots of participating retailers throughout downtown Jackson.

Friends of the Eastern Branch Book Sale.  Stop by the Eastern Branch to shop sales on fiction and non-fiction books, juvenile and young adult books, as well as movies and magazines.  Thursday 9 AM – 8 PM, Friday 9 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 2 PM  (“Fill-a-Bag” for $1 Saturday).  All proceeds are used to support JDL programming.  Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library, 3125 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson.

Summer Day Camp Registration.  Jackson YMCA Summer Day Camp, which begins June 13, will be here before you know it, and kids, teens and young adults can join us for a great summer of fun activities. Kids ages 4-14: Registration is open, and you can download our brochure on our website. Sign up for a week or the whole summer! Financial assistance is available.  The Jackson YMCA is also hiring positions for Counselors in Training (ages 14-15), Camp Counselors (ages 16 and up) and lifeguards.   Applications for all positions are available on our website.
