WEEK 4 HS FOOTBALL

Northwest 26, Parma Western 14: The Mounties stun the Panthers and win the rivalry game for the first time since 2013. Our JTV Tri-County Water ‘Player of the Game’ was Northwest QB Jonathon Osterberg, who ran for nearly 200 yards with three touchdowns to lead his team. Northwest wins their first game of the year and improves to 1-3 overall. Western falls to 1-3.

Leslie 34, Michigan Center 32: It was a thrilling game between these two teams for the second straight season, with the Blackhawks getting revenge this time. Leslie QB Joel Cranmore continues to impress, finishing 10/18 passing for 181 yards with three touchdowns plus two rushing. Braydin Johnson had 9 receptions for 179 yards and 3 TDs. Patrick Friese added 14 carries for 154 yards. Leslie is now 3-1 overall, and Michigan Center falls to 2-2.

Stockbridge 58, East Jackson 8: The Panthers pick up their first win of the season, winning a blowout Big 8 conference matchup. QB Evan Killinger threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns for Stockbridge. Domenic Ciminelli ran for two TDs to lead the Panthers’ rushing attack. Stockbridge is now 1-3 overall, while East Jackson falls to 0-4.

Springport 21, Vermontville Maple Valley 14: The Spartans win a close conference game on the road to improve to 3-1 overall.

Columbia Central 31, Jonesville 14: The Golden Eagles continue the revenge tour from last season, winning a huge conference game at home. CC remains unbeaten at 4-0 and has another major conference showdown with Hanover Horton next Friday.

Manchester 46, Grass Lake 0: HC Josh Lindeman and the Dutch improve to 3-1 overall with a dominating shutout win on the road. Grass Lake falls to 0-4.

Hanover Horton 45, Napoleon 14: Hanover-Horton went down 8-0, then outscored Napoleon 45-6 the rest of the way to take the lead in the Cascades-South division with a Week 4 win. Austyn Hocter rushed for 150 yards on 12 attempts with three touchdowns for the Comets. Zavior Skog rushed for 161 yards on 24 attempts with two touchdowns for Napoleon. Napoleon will be heading to Bellinger Field to take on Addison, while Hanover-Horton will be at home taking on Columbia Central next week.
