Valentine’s with the JSO. Valentine’s with the JSO promises an enchanting evening, featuring Romantic favorites of Music Director Matthew Aubin. This program, featuring cellist Julian Schwarz, takes you on a journey through time. Schwarz’s interpretation of Variations on a Rococo Theme and Andante cantabile captures the classical grace of Tchaikovsky. Inspired by Mozart, the concert concludes with Franz Schubert’s Fifth Symphony, rounding out an evening where the past meets the present in a symphony of love. Three opportunities with the concert performance on Friday or Saturday at 7:30pm and on Sunday at 2:00pm, and will be held in downtown Jackson at the JSO Weatherwax Hall. Murder Masquerade. 6:15 PM to 11 PM. An Original, Immersive, Murder-Mystery, Comedy, Dinner Theatre Show. Written and performed by Monster Box Theatre’s ‘Killed by Murder’ performance team. This amazing evening begins with an hour of cocktails, relaxed socializing, and informal games, followed by a fully-catered dinner and dessert. You will be entertained by live music and dance, fortune telling, a photo booth, and various Valentine’s activities, games, and demonstrations. You might think that kind of performance is a thing of the past, but you’d be wrong! It’s all coming back with GET READY! A Motown Experience. This cutting-edge musical tour pays homage to the Motown legends you love, but with a twist. Four spectacular singers bring energy and wit into a show that overs all the Motown bases, and throws in a few surprises along the way.
