Virtual Author Talk with Grant Snider.  10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Join the Jackson District Library for a virtual author talk with Grant Snider – cartoonist, comic strip artist, writer and creator of Poetry Comics! Register here.  This event is open to all Jackson County schools, families and residents, and is best suited for middle school and older. Unable to join online? Siena Heights University Campus Visit at Jackson College.  11 AM to 1 PM.  Bert Walker Hall, near Center for Student Success.  Admissions representatives will be available to meet with interested students to discuss programs and opportunities.

Valentine’s with the JSO.  Valentine’s with the JSO promises an enchanting evening, featuring Romantic favorites of Music Director Matthew Aubin. This program, featuring cellist Julian Schwarz, takes you on a journey through time. Schwarz’s interpretation of Variations on a Rococo Theme and Andante cantabile captures the classical grace of Tchaikovsky. Inspired by Mozart, the concert concludes with Franz Schubert’s Fifth Symphony, rounding out an evening where the past meets the present in a symphony of love. Three opportunities with the concert performance on Friday or Saturday at 7:30pm and on Sunday at 2:00pm, and will be held in downtown Jackson at the JSO Weatherwax Hall. Grand River Winter Farmer’s Market.  A year-round community-driven market prioritizing fresh local products and Michigan made goods. Fridays 10 am – 3 pm. ood Assistance Programs:  We accept most food assistance programs, including WIC, Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), Project Fresh, and Senior Project Fresh.  You can double your $ when using a Bridge card with the DUFB program ($10 becomes $20).   Found Church, 141 E Michigan Ave., Downtown Jackson.

Murder Masquerade. 6:15 PM to 11 PM.  An Original, Immersive, Murder-Mystery, Comedy, Dinner Theatre Show. Written and performed by Monster Box Theatre’s ‘Killed by Murder’ performance team.  This amazing evening begins with an hour of cocktails, relaxed socializing, and informal games, followed by a fully-catered dinner and dessert. You will be entertained by live music and dance, fortune telling, a photo booth, and various Valentine’s activities, games, and demonstrations. Get Ready:  The Motown Tribute.  7 pm. The Motown Era brought soul, style and sophistication to a new level in American music.  You might think that kind of performance is a thing of the past, but you’d be wrong!  It’s all coming back with GET READY! A Motown Experience. This cutting-edge musical tour pays homage to the Motown legends you love, but with a twist.  Four spectacular singers bring energy and wit into a show that overs all the Motown bases, and throws in a few surprises along the way.  A great LIVE band backs up the singers to put the show over the top.  GET READY!
