Author Brian G. Walsh Book Signing. 9 AM to 3 PM.  Help the Jackson Public Schools Food Services Program in 2023. On Tuesday, January 31st, the Jackson Coffee Company will host a special book signing event to benefit the program that helps feed Jackson school children. Brian G. Walsh will be signing copies of his epic supernatural thriller novels, The Last Angel to Fall, A gold Day in Hell, and No Place for Mercy. 50% of the profits will be donated to the Jackson Public Schools Food Services Program. 201 S. Mechanic Street, Downtown Jackson.

Free Interactive Digital Art Demonstration.  4 PM to 7 PM.  We’re excited to announce the addition of our brand new Creative Technology program coming this winter to Jackson School of the Arts!  Join us in our lobby on Tuesday, January 31st from 4pm to 7pm and engage with an exciting interactive digital art installation by local multimedia visual artist and new JSA instructor Matt Rozensky. A wide variety of different interactive works will be available to play with. Participants can create beautiful patterns with their voice, get photographed in the 4th dimension, generate abstract paintings with their dance moves and more!  High resolution digital renderings and physical prints will be available for anyone who’d like to take their work home. Matt will also be promoting and answering questions about his new workshop “The Digital Canvas: An Introduction to Computer Generated Art and Creative Technology” coming to JSA on Tuesday February 21st. JPEC January Open House.  4:30 PM to 6 PM.  Come check out what JPEC has to offer your student! We believe every student is capable of success, and we would love to help your student on their journey! If you are looking for a change currently, enrollment is still open for the current 2022-2023 school year! If you are looking for next year, we’d love to answer your questions. Open Enrollment dates for next year (2023-2024) will be available at this open house as well! Stop in any time during the evening to get a tour of the building, get your questions answered, and see what JPEC is about!  We will see you there!  Jackson College Central Campus.

Eastern Branch Storytime.  11:00 am – 11:30 am.  Jackson District Library storytimes offer age-appropriate books, music, and activities for babies, toddlers, families, and young children. Most importantly, they help develop everyone’s imaginations! Eastern Branch Storytime: Tuesdays, 11 AM (ages 0-5)  Storytimes will run weekly through March 3.

Henrietta Branch Storytime.  11:00 am – 11:30 am.  Jackson District Library storytimes offer age-appropriate books, music, and activities for babies, toddlers, families, and young children. Most importantly, they help develop everyone’s imaginations! Henrietta Branch Storytime: Tuesdays, 11 AM (ages 0-5)  Storytimes will run weekly through March 3.
