Family Night at the Cascades.  The Cascades.  Wednesday Family Nights start at 7:30 pm.  Singer/Songwriter, Don Middlebrook, and his 5-piece band will be bringing the Caribbean sound to Jackson with their live music! There will also be a special appearance announced closer to the event  Admission is $10 for up to 8 family members

Grass Lake Farmers Market and Music in the Park.  Celebrating 10 years of Music in the Park at Grass Lake Events Park Pavilion! 4-7 pm Grass Lake Farmers Market.  6-8 pm Music in the Park (Artist starts at 6:30).  This week’s artist is Billy Jo Hunt.  110 Brown Street, Downtown Grass Lake.

Project Fresh.  2 PM to 6 PM. Join Jackson County WIC’s Project Fresh event and come purchase produce from local farmers. WIC, the health department, and community partners will be present with activities and local resources!  Pregnant or breastfeeding women and children ages 1-5 enrolled in WIC can receive $25 Project Fresh Coupons per family to be used at farmers’ markets. To receive coupons, complete WIC Project Fresh on wichealth.org and bring WIC card or Photo ID. Events at Jackson County WIC or until supplies last.  1715 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.

Blood Drive at Eastern Branch.  Join us for a blood drive at the Jackson District Library Eastern Branch on August 3 from 10 AM – 2:30 PM. Appointments are preferred, however, walk-ins are accepted. Build A Beast.  3 PM to 4 PM.  Teens can channel their inner Sid the Mean Kid or Doctor Frankenstein to create new, custom monster toys using donated toys and craft materials!  Brooklyn Branch: August 3, 3 PM.  All materials will be provided. This event is open to ages 9+, however, participants must be able to use crafting supplies (hot glue, scissors, etc.) without assistance.  Presented by Jackson District Library, Brooklyn Branch.

Teddy Bear Picnic.  5 PM to 6:30 PM.  Join preschool and kindergarten families from St. John for a Teddy Bear Picnic! Bring a picnic dinner and have an opportunity to meet parents and teachers to learn more about sending your child to St. John for preschool or kindergarten. Wellness Wednesdays.  6:30 PM.  Grow Jackson presents Wellness Wednesday nights for families and kids.  745 Tomlinson Street. Jackson.  (Garden, weather permitting).  Today, Yoga on Kibby.
