Jackson 5, Northwest 2: Jackson and Northwest high schools concluded a game from Sept. 7 stopped due to bad weather. Jackson led 1-0 in the game midway through the first half when it was stopped. Brayon Tanner scored for Jackson on a free kick at the 1:38 mark giving the Vikings a 2-0 halftime lead on Monday night. Tanner scored again 30 seconds into the second half giving Jackson a 3-0 lead. But the Mounties battled back with goals by Tyler Richard and Landon Rambadt cutting the lead to 3-2. It didn’t take the Vikings long to get the upper hand again with a goal by Dylan Marshallsay 30 seconds after the Mounties’ goal. Tanner completed his hat trick with a goal at the 6:41 mark for Jackson (5-11-1). Northwest is 5-10-1 heading into district soccer action this week.
