(May 20, 2024 9:21 AM ET) Jackson College invites community members to join us for a sizzling BBQ Basics Workshop to learn the secrets of grilling and outdoor entertaining like a pro! BBQ Basics Workshop will be Thursday, May 23 from 6-8 p.m. on the George E. Potter Center patio, cost $65.
Learn how to perfectly pair grilled delights with a variety of sides and beverages to impress your family and guests. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned griller looking to elevate your skills, this workshop promises to ignite your passion for barbecue. The evening’s menu will be served buffet-style:
- Entree: 8-ounce New York Strip or Chicken Skewers
- Side: Grilled yellow squash and zucchini
- Dessert: Grilled peaches with vanilla bean mascarpone
- Beverage options: Beer, hard cider, nonalcoholic cider and water
* Participants must be 21 and up; please bring ID for any alcohol tasting
