(February 28, 2022 9:42 AM)  The Jackson County Fair today announced that country music icon, Hank Williams Jr. with special guest Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr., will join their entertainment lineup at the Jackson County Fair this summer on August 9, 2022.

Hank Williams Jr. has sold over 70 million albums sold worldwide, including six platinum albums, 20 gold albums, 13 No. 1 albums, and 10 No. 1 singles. He has garnered industry recognition as an ACM Entertainer of the Year, CMA Entertainer of the Year, and BMI Icon. Hank Williams, Jr. is a Grammy award winner and an inductee in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2021 he carried on the family tradition with a pandemic-delayed induction into Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame Class of 2020. As a touring artist, Hank Jr. was a pioneer in bringing arena rock production values to country music, and today he remains one of the most consistent ticket sellers in music.  

Over the course of his career, Granger Smith has amassed a large and rabid audience now known as “Yee Yee Nation” built through heavy touring and grassroots fan engagement.  Smith broke onto the national scene with Remington, an album that featured the No. 1   hit, “Backroad Song.” He was also awarded a BMI Country Award for writing, producing, publishing and performing “Backroad Song” and followed it with the Top Five hit, “If The Boot Fits.”  Granger Smith is known as an artist but also for his alter ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., his family’s YouTube series “The Smiths” and his  outdoor apparel company, Yee Yee Apparel,

Ticket prices range from $40.00 to $75.00 and go on sale MARCH 4, 2022. They can be purchased online at JacksonCountyFair.net or Etix.com, in-person at the Jackson County Fair Box Office located at N Administrative entrance at the New American 1 Event Center, or by phone (800) 514-3849 / (517) 788-4405.  On the day of the show, gates open at 5:30 pm, and the show begins at 7:00 pm.
