(8-26-2025, 4:00PM): – A 4-6 record in 2024 put the Vikings at 3rd place in the SEC-White and led them to a 6th playoff appearance in the last 7 years.
Antonio Parker is returning for his fourth year with the Vikings as the head coach. He said “the whole staff does a great job at making sure the program will be successful. We focus on making sure that the kid is put first.”
Some Viking upperclassman poised to make an impact include Jaiden Ramirez (LB/QB/RB/WR) who was named an all-conference honorable mention, Kenyon Dunklin (DB/RB), Cameron Walker (OL/DL), Oscar Chavez (OL/DL), and Jayden Roy (OL/DL). A sophomore expected to make an impact is Kylin Davis (QB, DB, WR).
Rob Dillon is entering his 7th season as the offensive coordinator for Jackson.
Will Derr, “the hype man,” is entering his 4th season as the defensive coordinator.
The strengths of the team, on both sides of the ball, will be in the trenches this year.
The goals for the Vikings have already begun. The goals are to win camp and to win practice. “Keep doing the work. Process over outcome,” said Parker.
Parker is also excited to see the young talent on his team perform this season. JHS opens the season on the road at Parma Western, a rematch from the 2022 playoffs which had a wild ending and a 26-25 win for Jackson.
