Boys Cross Country Regionals

Division 2 at DeWitt: Edison Lopeman of Western won the regional title with a time of 15 minutes, 26.7 seconds helping the Panthers finish second and qualify for the state meet at as team. Northwest finished 12th at the regional event at DeWitt. Ryan Good of Western was fourth (15:54), Isaac Fullerton finished 27th (17:24), and Drew Clingerman of Northwest placed 31st (17:37) in the event. Division 3 at Jackson: Lumen Christi won the regional crown, Hanover-Horton was second, Columbia Central finished tied for third but lost out on the final qualifying spot based on its sixth-runner finish. Napoleon was 10th, Springport was 12th, and Springport 13th. Isaiah Dinverno of Lumen Christi was second (15:54) and teammate Leo Swager was third (16:05). Cooper Flick of Hanover-Horton was sixth (16:31), teammate Landen Boulis finished eighth (16:53), and Clint Couchman of Columbia was 10th (16:47). Division 4 at Jackson: Concord High School snared a state team qualifying spot with a third-place finish and Jackson Prep was fourth. Hillsdale Academy swept the competition with the top five spots. Diego BoCole of JPEC was 10th (17:42), Maddox Hutchinson of Concord placed 12th (18:07), Dallas Swawnepoel of Vandercook Lake was 14th (18:29), and Paul Herendeen of Concord was 15th (18:34).  Girls Cross Country Regionals

 Division 2 at DeWitt: Western High School finished seventh as a team at the D-2 regional. Chloe Khon of Northwest was 17th overall (20:01) and Bertha Quiroga of Western was 19th (20:17). For complete results go to www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/238256/info for complete results.

Division 3 at Jackson: Lumen Christi won the event with 53 points, Hanover-Horton was sixth (140), Napoleon was eighth (190), and Michigan Center was 12th (368). Jackson College at NJCAA Regional: Nathan Blondke finished 73rd (30:38) in the 8K event. Noah Blondke finished 79th (31:45) and Jacob Norman was 82nd (31:54) in the men’s regional.  In the women’s 5K event, Jessica Furman of Jackson College finished 47th (23:15), Sheilyn Rayas placed 74th (26:10), and Sarah Hoop placed 84th (27:17).
