Baseball

Dansville 6, Concord 4: Gavin Riske and Jordan Medellin each finished with two hits and an RBI in the contest.

Dansville 5, Concord 1: Jordan Medellin had two of the Yellowjackets’ four hits in the loss.

Addison 2, East Jackson 1: Addison scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning earning the victory. The Trojans finished with four hits in the contest.

Softball

Michigan Center 12, Concord 5: Kylie McKee had a home run and knocked in three runs for the Cardinals. Hannah Stimer finished with three hits for the Yellowjackets.

Michigan Center 14, Concord 3: Lilly Nutt and Hannah McKee each finished with three hits for the Cardinals. Zoe Schultz and Jordyan Metcalf finished with four of the Yellowjackets five hits in the game.

Girls Soccer

Olivet 1, Michigan Center 0: The Cardinals lost in the MHSAA Division 3 district opener at home. Abbie Hess recorded 12 saves for Michigan Center (10-7-1).

Quincy 8, Springport 0: The Spartans lost 8-0 in the Division 3 district at Quincy. Springport finished the season with a 7-10 record.

Boys Golf

Cascades Conference Final at Sharp Park: Hanover-Horton won the title in the Cascades Conference winning the final match with a 330 total. Columbia Central finished second (339), Michigan Center was fifth (353), Grass Lake placed sixth (370), and Napoleon was two strokes behind the Warriors. Hanover-Horton won the league, new teams Columbia Central and Leslie tied for second, Michigan Center tied Jonesville for fourth place, Grass Lake finished sixth, Napoleon placed seventh, Vandercook Lake finished 11th, and East Jackson 12th. The Comets went 1-2 at the conference meet as Bristen Cekander shot 74 and Hoyt Wrona carded a 75. Hayden Carter of CCHS placed third (76), Tucker Scheithauer of Columbia Central was seventh (84), and Andrew Zacharias of Columbia Central and Julius Harbottle tied for 10th (86s). Wrona earned medalist honors for the year with a 78.86 average for 18 holes. Carter of CCHS was second, Cekander finished third, Keegan Gronski of Michigan Center finished 10th, John Wallbaum of Hanover-Horton was 11th overall, and Andrew Zacharias of Columbia Central was 12th. The top 12 earn first-team honors. Allison Kobus of Leslie finished 13th becoming the first female to earn conference honors in boys’ golf.

Western at Lansing Christian Invitational:  Western High School finished sixth at Hawk Hollow Golf Course with a four-man total of 344. Andrew Boldt of Western finished 19th overall with an 81.
