Jackson United 5, Cadillac 2: Jackson United improved to 2-1 on the season with the road win at Cadillac. Parker Gough scored a pair of goals for JU and single goals were scored by Peyton Paquin, Brennan Forward, and Wyatt Boteler. JU continues its northern trek with a Saturday contest against Gladwin.

Swimming

Jackson at D-1 state finals: Grace Dawson of Jackson High School qualified for the diving finals Saturday by placing 15th in the preliminary rounds. Dawson, a Western High School students swimming on the JHS coop team, will earn all-state honors by finishing in the top 16.
