
Volleyball
Columbia Central 3, Michigan Center 1: The Golden Eagles won 22-25, 25-19, 25-10, and 25-19 to start the Cascades Conference season. Mara Henry finished with 11 kills and four blocks, Alison Richardson tallied 16 assists and 16 digs, and Allie Choate finished with nine kills for CCHS (3-4 overall, 1-0 Cascades).
Napoleon 3, East Jackson 0: The Pirates won 25-19, 25-7, and 25-7. Myla Hasegawa tallied 14 kills and Gracie Tallman added 11 kills for Napoleon. Kate Fall finished with 27 assists for the Pirates.
Grass Lake 3, Vandercook Lake 0: The Warriors won 25-8. 25-7, and 25-14 on the road in Cascades Conference action. Mia Buttigieg finished with 32 assists, Hanna Alvarez scored 12 digs, and Ashleigh Simon finished with 11 kills for Grass Lake.

Hanover-Horton 3, Homer 0: The Comets won 25-11, 25-12, and 25-12 improving to 6-1-1 on the season. Chelsea Russ finished with 12 kills, Maggie Soper blocked three shots, Quinn Knoblauch dished 16 assists, and Mollie Soper had three aces for Hanover-Horton.
Jackson Christian 3, Pittsford 2: The Royals won 15-13 in the fifth set to pull out the victory. Madi Conrad and Ella Boll finished with 12 kills apiece and Johannah Loew tallied 11 kills and 22 assists for the Jackson Christian.
Boys Soccer
Jackson Christian 3, Manchester 0: J.D. Locke scored two goals and Damian Orcasitas added 1 for Jackson Christian. Drew Barney had three assists and Christian Guerrero and Aaden Breton kept another clean sheet for the Royals who improve to 5-0 on the season.

Northwest 2, Grass Lake 1: Caiden Christner scored a pair of first half goals for Northwest and was assisted by Evan Conant and Austin Keagle. The Mountie defense, led by Gavin Baker, had another strong game holding Grass Lake scoreless in the second half.
Girls Golf
Western Invitational at Arbor Hills GC: Mason High School won the event with 333, Columbia Central placed second at 361, Western finished third at 415, and Northwest was right behind the Panthers with 431. East Jackson was fifth (446), Lumen Christi finished sixth (457), and Grass Lake was 12th (520). Individually Logan Bentley shot a 3-under-par 69 with five birdies on the back nine to set another school record for low score for 18 holes. Others finishing in the to 10 were Kaia Bruneel of Western who was fifth with an 88, Hannah Stimer of Concord was sixth with 91, and Kelsey Fausz of CCHS was ninth with a 92.

Boys Tennis
Lumen Christi 4, Frankel 4: Luke Tropea won 6-4 and 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Titans. Lumen Christi won three of four doubles matches forcing a tie. Wins came by Holden Luce/Gabe Cooper at No. 1 doubles, Chase Schirmacher/T.J. O’Neil at No. 3 doubles, and Brogan Kelly/Harrison Botke at No. 4 doubles.
Coldwater 5, Northwest 3: The Mounties earned singles’ wins by Mason Beecher, Gavin Rush, and Nathan Cumings at Nos. 1-3, respectively.
Swimming
Jackson 105, Holt 78: Jackson High School won the 400-yard relay (3:38) and the 200-yard medley (2:07). Isabelle Ortiz won the 100-yard back (1:05) and Ryan Ehlert took first in the 200-yard IM (2:42) for the Vikings.
