(1-4-2025, 7:45PM): Grass Lake got as close as six points in the final quarter, but Lumen Christi ultimately pulled away with a 66-56 victory on Saturday afternoon in the Runway Shot Clock Invitational presented by Jackson College and Under Armour.

Three lead changes happened in the first quarter alone in a back-and-forth physical contest. Freshman Lucy Wrozek scored eight of her 23 points in the first for the Titans. Lumen Christi led 18-14 after the first quarter.

The Titans had its largest lead of the game going into halftime, taking a 39-26 lead. Lumen Christi star Freshman Kenna Hunt scored eight of her 18 points in the first half.

7 points from Grass Lake’s Kate Starkey in the third quarter helped the Warriors cut the deficit to the game’s closest yet, making it 50-44 after three quarters.

Lumen Christi was able to close out the final eight minutes, defeating Grass Lake 66-56 on Saturday afternoon inside Vic Cuiss Fieldhouse.

Lumen was led by Lucy Wrozek with 23 points, Kenna Hunt added 18 points and Codi Ruge scored 14 points. Kate Starkey led Grass Lake with 19 points, Bree Salts added 10 points, and Reese Lape tallied nine.

LC improves to 6-2 and will play next at home on Tuesday 1/14 versus Toledo Notre Dame. Grass Lake falls to 3-3 and will play next at Michigan Center on Thursday (1/9) LIVE on JTV beginning at 6:45pm.
