Our current weather pattern does not favor significant rainfall for at least another week, if not well beyond that actually. Even so we have two frontal systems coming our way and each could bring a some light spotty rainfall .The first is a weakening cold front that comes into the area early Sunday morning before totally dissipating. Then a stronger cold front comes through the area Labor Day evening. There could be some thunderstorms near and south of I-94 during the evening. That system could bring significant rainfall but it would likely be south of Michigan during the evening hours.
Beyond that a large Canadian Polar airmass settles into the area with much cooler than normal temperatures expected most of the rest of next week, with little or no rainfall past the following weekend.

Labor Day: Sunny until midday, then partly sunny with scattered thunderstorms and a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
