Our current January thaw will fade back to a more winter like pattern over the next few days. This morning the first cold front comes through, that is really weak and will not cool us down much or give us much rainfall, maybe a few sprinkles. A stronger cold front comes through Sunday morning, there could be some flurries with that front. That cold front will also bring back below freezing temperatures by evening Sunday and temperatures will remain below freezing till Wednesday when the next and much stronger cold front comes through. That front brings in arctic air and will remain around for awhile. The Wednesday system will bring another chance for some rain and snow showers but it is moisture starved so that any precipitation from that will be light. Expect lake effect snow showers Thursday into Saturday. Locations inland will see just very cold temperatures.
