An area of high pressure in the Middle Mississippi Valley will build east today and into the Central Appalachians for tonight. As a result the weather here in Michigan today  will feature diminishing clouds and showers followed by a warming trend as we go into Tuesday. Unseasonably mild weather will then prevail for much of the week.

Today:  Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight:  Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday:  Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

Tuesday Night:  Clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday:  Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

Wednesday Night:  Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s.

Thursday:  Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s.
