The GRCC Cougars started hot right out of the gate. QB Odin Spencer kickstarted their offense with several runs on the opening drive including a 20 yard scamper. He capped off the drive with a 15 yard pass to Dean Armock on a fade to the back of the end zone to take an early 7-0 lead.

To open up the 2nd quarter, Lumen Christi’s offensive Coordinator, Sean Brogan, digs into his bag of tricks, lining up QB Benny Gaston out wide to set up what looks to be an end around run, but Gaston throws deep for Wes Learned to get the Titans on the board with a 35 yard touchdown.
Gant Jr. finds the endzone for GRCC with an 8 yard TD run after being set up by Kamall Hillard’s 33 yard run, growing the Cougar lead to 14 once again.
A 4 yard TD pass from Gaston to Sean Walicki cut the lead back to a touchdown with just seconds remaining in the first half.
The third quarter was devoid of scoring, but had excitement on the defensive side of the ball. Benny Gaston threw two interceptions for the LC offense. Keegan Grandy also recovered a fumble for the Titans defense.
In the fourth quarter, the Cougars and Titans traded punts until the 5 minute mark. The Cougar offense ignited again after a 15 yard rush by Hillard. Spencer capped off the scoring for the game a few plays later, a 26 yard TD run to go up 28-14 sealed the deal.
