THE FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT SUNDAY FOR JACKSON AND INGHAM COUNTIES.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING.

A deepening low pressure system will track through Lower Michigan today. The heavy rain that fell on Saturday and through early this morning will pull away from the region leaving behind flooding for parts of far Southwest Lower Michigan. Strong wind gusts will accompany this storm and power outages are possible today. An area of high pressure builds eastward in the the Central Appalachians on Monday and Tuesday resulting in mainly dry weather for here in Michigan.

Today:  Windy. Rain showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms until midday, then a slight chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Gusts up to 45 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening.

Monday:  Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night:  Mostly clear. Lows around 40. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday:  Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

Tuesday Night:  Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s.

Wednesday:  Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s.
