Jets Athletic Director Heather Bateman named 2018-19 MCCAA AD of the Year
Jackson College Athletic Director Heather Bateman has been named the 2018-19 Michigan Community College Athletic Director of the Year. The Athletic Director of the Year committee selected Bateman from several nominees. JTV Sports | June 11th, 2019 | Gabriel Schray Heather Bateman, Jackson College's Athletic Director, has been named the 2018-19 Michigan Community College Athletic Director of the Year. The Athletic Director of the Year committee selected Bateman from several nominees. Bateman oversees an athletic department that has 13 successful sports including men's bowling that won the MCCAA Championship in their very first season. The women's soccer team was second in the in the MCCAA and won the NJCAA Region XII regular season and post-season title. Bateman also holds several sports chairs in the MCCAA and is the secretary/treasurer for NJCAA Region XII, according to a Jackson College press release. She also hosted the MCCAA Golf and MCCAA Baseball Tournament this spring. “I am honored and humbled to receive this award.
