Fall Conference Planned

The Sisters in Ministry 9th Annual Fall Conference is planned for September 6 and 7th at the Tomlinson Center.  Organizers and presenters include Janice Sweet Fairley, Shannon Dotson Sweet and Kathy Williams White.  The event is free and open to the public.  Details on the website here.  Other guests include:  Ken Toll, Executive Director, United Way of Jackson County;  Aaron Ring, PC Solutions;  John Coakley and Lambert (Buddy) Hiram, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Disaster Preparedness Fair (September 7th at the Church);  Tubing on Clark Lake with Bart and Ric Walton. Labor Day Weekend at the State Parks

The campground facilities at the two Jackson area state parks, Waterloo Recreation Area and Hayes State Park, are at capacity for the Labor Day Weekend.  Park Managers Gary Jones and Jim O'Brien are planning guided tours, harvest festivals and competitions throughout the month of September.  Schedule of events at michigan.gov/dnr.  Other guests:  Kelly Sheppard, Great Start Collaborative and Susan Townsend, Jackson County ISD;  Kristy Krueger, Vista Grande Villa;  Jackson Community Federal Credit Union President Jim Francis;  Nathan Brue, Jackson Coffee Company Drawings of the Month.
