64th District State Representative Earl Poleski and 65th District State Representative Mike Shirkey both commented on the effects of this month's government shutdown. Both felt the effects on the state were minimal and expect Congress will be back in the same situation within 3 months. Both had updates on current legislation in Lansing. Spring Arbor University has named Judith Ganton the 2013 Alumnus of the Year, honoring her for her service to the community and the University. Judi shared some of her reasons for her support and involvement with SAU on today's show.
