Co-ed Division Game On Fireballers 9 Duffy's-LePeak 8. Game On came scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning to pull out the win led by Patrick Waldon and Jeff Miller who each went 4 for 4. David Tello had a 3 run double and scored a run for the big momentum push for Game On. Ryan LePeak went 2 for 3 with a with a double as Duffy's come back attempt in the bottom of the 7th fell just short as Rich Lally's fly ball was caught at the base of the fence to end the game. Duffy's-Makulski 10 Malibu Tan 9. Duffy's hung on in a rained shortened game as Malibu Tan scored 7 runs in the last 3 innings as their come back came up short. Duffy's was led by Drew Anderson who went 3 for 3 with a triple and a double with 5 RBIs along with who Courtney Moore went 2 for 3. Baker College Graduates To Be Honored June 12
JACKSON, Mich. – Baker College of Jackson will recognize 361 graduates at the 2015 commencement ceremony at 7 p.m., Friday, June 12, at Jackson High School Auditorium, 544 Wildwood Ave., Jackson. The event will include graduates who attended the main campus, the satellite campus in Coldwater and Baker College Center for Graduate Studies. “While graduation signals the end of a course of study, the word commencement means beginning, and that is what the class of 2015 is doing," said Steve Simpson, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson chief academic office. "The knowledge and skills that these graduates acquired at Baker College will help set them on meaningful and rewarding career paths as they begin the next chapter of their lives.” Benjamin Lasky, of Jackson, will be the graduate speaker for the ceremony. He is receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. Several awards for outstanding graduates will be presented at the ceremony: Business Administration Award—Isaac Daugherty, Jackson, bachelor’s in accounting. Human Services Award—Rita Honeysett, Eaton Rapids, bachelor’s in human services. Health Sciences Award—Amanda Marie Hubbard, Battle Creek, bachelor’s in radiation therapy.
