Lumen Christi Names New Principal
Stephanie (Spoelstra) Kristovic has been named the new Principal of Lumen Christi Catholic School beginning July 1, 2016. Stephanie graduated from Lumen Christi in 2004 as the valedictorian of her class. After leaving high school, she graduated from Miami University, Honors College with a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics and a B.A. in English Literature. Following her undergraduate degrees, she continued her education with a master’s in Education Administration from Dominican University. In a letter to parents of Lumen Christi students, Lumen Christi President Elaine Crosby wrote: "Mrs. Kristovic’s career has included time “giving back” through the organization Teach for America in the Chicago area. She continued her career with Perspectives High School of Technology in South Chicago, first as a geometry teacher -- and continuing through the organization to most recently principal of the school." The letter continues, "The core values of Lumen Christi: Live Faith, Achieve Excellence, Develop Character, Be Warm and Welcoming, and Promote Teamwork are part of Mrs. Kristovic’s inherent personality and professional style.
