Detroit Free Press Names CP Federal Credit Union 2016 Top Workplaces Award Winner

CP Federal Credit Union has been awarded a 2016 Top Workplaces honor by the Detroit Free Press. CP Federal has received Top Workplace designations in for the last three years running. “We are honored to be recognized as a Top 100 Workplace for 2016. Employee feedback and engagement is key for any organization that wants be considered one of the best in class and the fact we were able to receive this commendation for the third year in a row shows we are moving in the right direction, “stated John Crist, President and CEO of CP Federal. Employers receiving this designation participated in an employee survey which measured a variety of company qualities including work environment, values, leadership, advancement opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits among others. CP Federal Credit Union received a 96% completion rate on the survey taken by its employees. The results and feedback helped CP Federal secure the number 21 spot in the mid-size category. “The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. Lumen Christi Wins Ninth State Football Championship

Herb Brogan said earlier this week that he didn’t think his Lumen Christi football team was one on a mission of any kind, but instead, a group of guys getting better one game at a time. In the final week, and final day of the season, the Titans saved their best game for the most important in years, defeating Glen Lake 26-14 in the Division 6 final at Ford Field. Mission accomplished. “It feels great,” Brogan said afterwards. “It just feels great to do this. “We have certain expectation here, and to see the kids rise to that level of expectations is super.” “We’ve been working for this all summer long, all year long,” senior running back Bo Bell said. “Last year we ended on a bad note.
