Parking & Entrance Protocols Announced For Football Finals at Ford Field

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Nov. 21 – To provide for the convenience and safety of spectators attending the Michigan High School Athletic Association 11-Player Football Finals – presented by the Michigan National Guard – at Ford Field in Detroit, Nov. 25 and 26, attendees are being advised of a variety of items related to transportation and security – including policies regulating types of bags allowed into the stadium.   Parking will be available in Ford Field facilities and lots to the east and north of the stadium and costs $6. A map identifying the designated Ford Field lot (4) and parking deck can be found on the Football page of the MHSAA Website at http://www.mhsaa.com/sports/football. (There also are a number of privately-operated parking facilities close to Ford Field, but their pricing may differ.)   Fans also are advised that tailgating, including the setting up and use of grilling equipment, and the consumption of alcohol, is prohibited in Ford Field parking facilities and lots.   Gates A, B and G will be available for public entrance during the event. After 67 Years, Toy House Announces Store to Close

The Toy House and Baby Too, a Jackson landmark and tradition for 67 years, announced this morning the store will close following the Christmas season. In a message to customers, Toy House President Phil Wrzesinski said, "With great sadness, we are announcing it is time for Toy House to close.  They say all good things eventually come to an end.  After experiencing how the toy industry, the local economy and the competition have changed in recent years, we are closing our doors for good, ending 67 years of being an important part of the Jackson community." The letter continues, "With our sadness comes a heartfelt Thank You!  Thank you for the support you have given us since 1949, and thank you for believing in us and being a part of our lives. Just as important, thank you for letting us be a part of your lives as you celebrated new births, happy birthdays and so many holidays. These are the memories we will cherish forever. " The store announced this coming Friday will be their last Black Friday.  The Going-Out-of-Business Sale  will begin then and continue until all their inventory is gone.
