Cascades golf course

Cascades Short Course offering Junior Golf Camp

Cascades is hosting an 8 week program for Junior golfers this year.  The camp includes instruction, followed by 9 holes of golf at Cascades Short Course and Driving Range.  Instruction will cover rules, etiquette, stance, grip, full swing, chipping and putting. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8-14 and will run on Wednesdays, from June 21st - August 16th (excluding July 5th).   The cost for the camp is $60. Expect scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms today as the storm system that brought the showers heads for the East Coast Friday morning. That will allow a high pressure ridge to cross our area Friday. This will allow for partly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. Our next system comes at us from the Southern Plains but does not get here till Sunday. This will mean a warmer day Saturday with partly sunny skies. Today:   Showers likely. Tonight:  Showers likely, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 51. North northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Friday:  Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Yesterday’s high temperature in Jackson was 69 at 1:01 PM.  The low was 52 at 5:43 AM. Normal high for today is 72.  The record low is 31, set in 1992.  The record high is 92, set in 1977.
