Rain Showers Changing to Snow Showers

A low pressure system will track northeastward through Michigan today. Colder air will be drawn into this storm as it pulls through. This will result in any remaining rain transitioning to snow today. A broad area of high pressure will then build in from the west for Wednesday before heading east of the area on Thursday. This system will provide the region with mainly dry weather. Today Rain showers likely before 11am, then rain and snow showers. Temperature falling to around 33 by 5pm. Breezy, with a southwest wind 11 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Greater Jackson.  The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce presents the monthly breakfast program and networking event.  7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Bella Notte Ristorante.  $15 for Chamber members, $25 for future members. Yoga at Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Feeling stressed? Join us on every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., for yoga at the Carnegie Branch. Newbies to certified Yogis welcome. Intended for adults. The  Jackson County Conservation District's Annual Meeting and Director's Election at Gene Davis and Son's Banquet and Convention Center. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by a short meeting at 6:00. Dinner will be served at 6:30. Steve Berekmeier will provide musical entertainment and a representative from the Michigan DNR will be giving a brief presentation about Invasive Species and their threat to our community. R. “America’s Got Talent” Winner Booked for Jackson County Fair

The Jackson County Fair announced today the winner of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” Season 12, Darci Lynne Farmer, will appear at this year’s fair.   13-year-old Darci Lynne and her ventriloquist act is the first grandstand show to be announced for this summer’s fair.    Darci Lynne began performing as a ventriloquist at the age of ten, winning several local and state competitions in her native Oklahoma.  During her audition in the most watched season of"America's Got Talent" last year, she received the "Golden Buzzer”, sending her straight to the quarterfinals.  Her winning final performance of "Anything You Can Do," with her idol and mentor, Terry Fator, collected over 21 million views on AGT's YouTube channel, more than any other finals performance in the history of the show. With her success on America's Got Talent, Darci Lynne has made appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jeff Dunham's video, “The Haunted House on Dunham Hill”, a Terry Fator performance at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa and on A Very Pentatonix Christmas TV special.  The act has been an opener for Fergie at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and her tour dates have been selling out…
