One area of rain will push eastward through the region early this morning. Then the rest of the day should be dry as we will be between systems. A warm front lifts northward through the area tonight and Friday. Additional showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms are forecasted to accompany this feature. A major storm winds up in the Great Lakes region for the weekend leading to a prolong period of impactful weather. Today Showers, mainly before 11am. High near 65. Jackson Percussion Concussion. Grab the beat when some of the best drumlines around converge on Jackson College for the Jackson Percussion Concussion concert event, at 7 p.m. today. The Percussion Concussion will feature performances from both professional and local percussionists in a fun evening. Performing will be Detroit Pistons Drumline (current and former members), Jackson College Drumline (now in its first year!), Jackson Preparatory and Early College Percussion Ensemble, Michigan Center Drumline, Jackson College “Jazzy Jets” Jazz Band, Gratigunga (band comprised of many JC students). Before the concert, local drumlines will have the opportunity to perform for the pros in clinics and receive feedback. Don’t miss the rhythmic and musical extravaganza! Tickets are just $5 and are available at the Potter Center Box Office or at the door. Will Smith Movies at the Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library. Join us for some great films all month long.
