Mostly Sunny and Warmer

The next couple of days could be unsettled, as we will sit north of a warm front that will be situated across Illinois and Indiana. Potential exists for some showers and thunderstorms from Friday through Saturday as showers and storms roll east north of the warm front. Up until that point we will be mainly dry today and tonight. High temperatures will reach near the 80 degree mark today but fall back into the 70s for Friday and Saturday with clouds and precipitation in the area. Sunday and Monday look dry at this point as high pressure noses in from the north. Today Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Tonight Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the evening. Friday A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. The Jackson County Parks Department presents PALOOZA at the FALLS,  a live music show with the backdrop of the Cascades. Entertainment includes the Brian Randall Band, one of Michigan’s top, emerging county bands, and The RockShow, dubbed as the Midwest’s best Journey Tribute Band. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, online at ETIX.com or over the phone by calling 517-788-4405.  Food and adult beverages available for purchase.  Gates open at 6 PM and the show begins at 6:30 PM. The Jackson YMCA presents Outdoor Summer Fun, free events for members and the community.  Bootcamp.  Meet at the Cascades Rotary Bandshell.  6 PM to 7 PM.  Every Thursday in June. Ella’s Patio Party tonight at Ella Sharp Museum.  The 2018 season begins with music by Kevin Nichols.  Enjoy appetizers from local favorites, a cash bar and explore the galleries.  5:30 to 7:30 PM.  Free for members, $5 for non-members.  All ages welcome.  Sponsored by Rehmann.
