The Jackson YMCA presents Outdoor Summer Fun, free events for members and the community. Biking the Falling Waters Trail, 6 PM. Meet at Parkside by the Tennis Courts. Walk Jackson Event. Walk Jackson is a FREE non-competitive 3 mile walking program offered by the City of Jackson Rec. Dept. Our third event will be June 5th at Ella Sharp Park in the big soccer field parking lot! Registration begins at 6:30pm, walk begins at 7pm! Door prizes will be awarded at the completion of each walk! You must be present to win! Red Cross Blood Drive. Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church, 12 PM to 5:45 PM. The American Red Cross is counting on volunteer donors to give blood and help ensure patient needs can be met this summer. Around Memorial Day, the Red Cross sees a steep decline in blood donations. Busy summer schedules, vacations and school breaks also cause a drop in donations. Accidents and medical emergencies don’t take a summer break – patients need blood every minute, every day.
