PW Stops Titans’ Playoff Run in Division 7 Final

Photo by Jeff Steers, JTV Sports. By Jeff Steers JTV Sports The Lumen Christi Catholic High School finally found a team who could stop their successful running attack. Pewamo-Westphalia High School held the Titans to 109 total yards – 80 on the ground – in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 7 final at Ford Field on Saturday.  The 14-0 loss stops the Titan’s 35-game winning streak and 19-game playoff winning streak. The Titans finished the season with a 12-1 record, but failed to win the schools fourth consecutive state football title. “We couldn’t get anything going offensively,” Lumen Christi head Coach Herb Brogan said. “They (Pewamo-Westphalia) played a great ball game and had a great plan.” The Titans had a chance to score first, but missed a 23-yard field goal on the second play of the second quarter. Lumen Christi dodged a bullet in the second quarter following a 58-yard punt return by Nate Martin. The Titans stopped PW on four consecutive plays to take over.…

November 29 Nite Lites Drive Thru Christmas Light Show.  Michigan International Speedway US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.  5:30 pm - 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday.  5:30 pm - 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $25 per car / vehicle, $40 per mini-bus, $40 per Limo / motor home / $70 per tour bus. Jackson YMCA Turkey Trot.  The TURKEY TROT is an exciting race for all levels and age groups. Choose from a 5K Run, 5K Walk or a 10K Run. We also offer a Kids Run. The TURKEY TROT race will be professionally chip timed with the results right after the race.   Invite your friends and guests to join you on this exciting THANKSGIVING Day Run!  Military and First Responders receive a $5 discount.  Online registration here.  Race day registration begins onsite at 7 AM.  Kids Fun Run at 8:45 AM.  5K Run and Walk and 10K at 9 AM.  The final race of the season of the ORS Run Series.  Jackson YMCA, 127 West Wesley Street, Jackson.
