Red Kettle Christmas Movie.  The Salvation Army presents a free Christmas movie, sponsored by Tripp’s Auto Shop and Collision Center.  The Red Kettle Christmas movie is “The Grinch”, playing at the Michigan Theatre on Tuesday, December 3 at 6 PM.  Doors open at 5 PM.  The movie, popcorn and pop are free.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson. Royals Use Big First Quarter to Earn Basketball Win

By Jeff Steers JTV Sports Jackson Christian High School basketball player Paiton Hollowood said she was so nervous for the team’s first game, she was jittery on the bench. The way she played, Hollowood he had no reason to be nervous. Hollowood scored 16 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, leading the Royals to a 58-32 win at Addison on Monday. It was the first game of the season for both teams. The Royals won only six games a year ago, but have a solid core of returning players. “We are looking to keep getting better as the season progresses,” Hollowood said. “We have a scrimmage a week ago, but it is nice to get going (in the regular season).” The Royals had no problem getting the ball rolling in the first quarter. Jackson Christian jumped out to a 14-2 lead as Bree Sanford and Hollowood combined to score 12 of the Royals’ 16 points at the end of eight minutes of action. Nite Lites Drive Thru Christmas Light Show.  Michigan International Speedway US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.  5:30 pm - 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday  5:30 pm - 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $25 per car / vehicle, $40 per mini-bus, $40 per Limo / motor home, $70 per tour bus.   All major credit cards accepted.  Nite Lites Winter Wonderland:  Dec. 6,7,8, Dec. 13,14,15 and Dec. 20,21,22.  Children will have the opportunity to have their photos taken with Santa and make their Christmas wishes.  Photos will be taken for a small fee or  you are welcome to visit Santa at no charge.  We will be offering a puppet show and train rides  Winter Wonderland hours: 6pm-9pm, Santa’s hours: 6:00pm-8:30pm.    Live Reindeer nights only:  December 6th, 13th, and 20th (6pm - 9pm).  This event features food and drinks of the season and a visit from Santa Claus himself!
