Jackson County Cumulative Report: 47,298 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 609 Deaths

(October 26, 2022 12:00 PM)  The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12:00 PM today, there are 47,298 positive cases (cumulative), and 609 deaths (cumulative)*.   There are 281 new cases and 2 new deaths since last Wednesday’s report. The next report will be on November 2.   Cumulative recovered, as of October 26:  45,449**. *These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category and reported by the state at Michigan Statistics. Volleyball LCAA pool play at Columbia Central: The Golden Eagles went 1-2 on the night losing in three sets to Blissfield and Clinton, but defeating Onsted in two sets. Ava Lyke finished with 66 digs, Allie Jarchow recorded 20 kills and 10 blocks, Berlynn Lyke dished 61 assists, and Jadyn Richardson tallied 20 kills for CCHS.  Concord Tri-meet: Concord High School defeated Vandercook Lake in three sets, but lost to Dansville in three sets. Iyla Weeks finished with 22 kills, Layla Hellard finished with 35 assists, and Sam Kessman recorded six aces for Concord.   Napoleon 3, Lumen Christi 0: The Pirates won the home match 25-19, 25-22, 25-21. Alyssa Budd recorded 13 kills, Momo Hampton dished 25 assists, Karson Fairbanks and Keegan Schoendorf combined for 39 digs, and Ella Stage recorded four aces for Napoleon (23-7-1).  Lansing Christian 3, Jackson Christian 0: The Royals lost 25-13, 25-15, and 25-2 at home on Tuesday.
