Steve Miller Band with Special Guest Maggie Rose to Play Jackson County Fair

(March 24, 2023 11:42 AM ET) The Jackson County Fair today announced that Steve Miller Band with special guest Maggie Rose will perform at the Jackson County Fair on Friday, August 11, 2023. About Steve Miller Band: Accomplished guitarist, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter, band leader, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and Songwriters Hall of Fame electee, Steve Miller has been an enlivening presence on the American music scene for more than half a century – and, in the course of that era, his releases have sold tens of millions of records and been streamed several billion times. Miller’s Greatest Hits 1974-78 received the RIAA Diamond Award with sales of more than fifteen million copies. It is among the 25 best-selling albums of all time. At the start of his career, Miller soon became a mainstay of the San Francisco music scene that upended American culture in the late '60s. With albums like Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World, Miller perfected a psychedelic blues sound that drew on the deepest sources of American roots music and simultaneously articulated a compelling vision of what music - and, indeed, society - could be in the years to come. Russell Dickerson with Special Guest Jameson Rodgers to Play Jackson County Fair

(March 24, 2023 11:20 AM ET) The Jackson County Fair announced today that country music star Russell Dickerson with special guest Jameson Rodgers will perform on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Jackson County Fair. About Russell Dickerson:   A dynamic frontman who lifts crowds up on his own wild-eyed energy, with a near superhuman ability to translate fluttering hearts into musical notation, Russell Dickerson is a powerhouse showman and superstar on the rise. After graduating from Nashville’s Belmont University, Dickerson hit the road. Wielding an independent spirit and a rich vocal – plus a drive to succeed and an SUV – he’d pack up and head out with his self-written songs. “I told myself ‘I’m just gonna keep going,’” Dickerson explains. "I'm gonna keep driving my run-down SUV all across America playing for 25 people and 250 bucks a night until something happens.” Something did happen, of course, but not the way he expected. Dropping the idea he could figure out what fans wanted, Dickerson instead embraced what he liked, and 2015’s “Yours” was the result. Dropping two albums – Yours and Southern Symphony – streaming numbers soon hit 2.2 billion and led to tours with Thomas Rhett, Lady…
