Observing National Engineers Week, we meet the Jackson Engineer of the Year Robert Uddin from Commonwealth Associates and Young Engineer of the Year Rob Wheeler from GAI Associates.  Another engineer, Scott Gillette from O'Harrow Construction and Maxx Marriott demonstrate 3D modeling used in engineer-build projects.  Other guests include Frost Elementary leadership students Cassidy Strader, Laksha Ahuja and Josh Shimmons;  Jackson Area Career Center CTE Dean Kathleen Rypkema; Dick Hitch with Kiwanis Racing for Dollars.

Local Educator Turned Author

Most Teens Don’t at Vandercook Lake

Local Dog in Westminster Kennel Club Show

Grand Champion Ken-Bear's Herbie, the Love Bug and Laurie LaZebnik join Bart on today's show.  Herbie will be competing next week in the Westminster Kennel Club annual show in New York City.  Herbie is the nation's seventh ranked Old English Sheepdog.  Other guests today include Springport Schools Superintendent Randy Cook;  former State Senator and Legislative Consultant Phil Hoffman;  Sue Stevens from Karmay's Flowers, Gifts & Candy;  filmmaker Stan Walsh, Kiwanis Travel Adventure Series; new McDonald's menu items with Amy Thomson. Update:  Laurie shares her recipe for "bait" treats used in dog show competitions:  Cathy Drummond's Irresistible Dog Show Bait.  Mix in food processor until smooth:  1 cup flour, 1 cup cornmeal, 1/4 cup wheat germ, 3/4 cup water, 1 pound liver (organic calf, cow or chicken), 1 teaspoon garlic powder.  Pour into a greased 9x12 pan.  Bake at 325-350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.  Cool and cut into dog bite sized squares.
